Chief Strategy Officer
With over 30 years of experience in the wealth management industry, Kirk Strawn serves as both the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) for AlphaCore Wealth Advisory and a Senior Wealth Advisor for clients. He also is a voting member of AlphaCore’s Investment Committee. Kirk came to AlphaCore after serving as a senior executive for Altegris Investments, Man Investments, and ING. He is passionate about his clients’ success and cares deeply about their financial health and wellbeing. With a deep background in alternative asset classes sourced for private clients, institutions and intermediaries, Kirk focuses on strategies to help lower portfolio risk while meeting growth and income objectives for clients.
Kirk and the team at AlphaCore utilize decades of experience and proprietary analytics to help clients achieve their goals and pursue their passions while sustaining wealth for generations. Through comprehensive wealth management plans, individual client portfolios are carefully constructed and monitored using sophisticated investment strategies and traditional alternative investments. Having served as former Co-Chairman of the Alternative Investment Committee for the Money Management Institute (MMI), Kirk also served as the Co-Chairman for MMI’s Annual Alternative Investment Forum. Today, Kirk serves on the UC San Diego Rady School of Management’s Employers Board. Kirk is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys backpacking, fishing, rafting, sailing. When not with his wife, Robin, and his two children, Kirk volunteers for San Diego Search & Rescue.
